Pilot

Probably the most plain post I’m going to put up.

Hey guys, in the spirit of television and movies, my first post will be about introducing myself (I’m sorry I know it’s boring but a description isn’t ever two sentences really).

My name is Karn Kasturi Sharma, I’m 18 years old, a citizen of India, and I love to analyse stuff, mostly movies and television series/features. It was brought to my attention that the analysis of the same on Instagram stories isn’t really doing me any favours, and in no universe will it help me get popular or win girls over (I agree 100%, I’m a hopeless case, even though it’s irrelevant), so I decided to combine an urge to write, an urge to analyse and the urge to put it up on a platform in the form of this blog .

In the next few lines, I’ll outline what I’ll be doing on this blog with reference to how I’ll review movies as well as TV Shows.

MOVIES

Now of course every movie isn’t the same, but the criterias to judge it can be. Mine will be as follows:

1. Plot
2. Script writing (As far as dialogues are concerned)
3. Character Arcs
4. Cinematography
5. Direction
6. Acting
7. Music/Score
8. Fan/Audience Catering
9. Genre Specific Category
10. Personal Review

I’ll be marking the movie out of these ten categories, each category will have a maximum score of 10, after which I will average the score out of all three categories to give my final overall score. I’ll also be doing an additional feature in which I’ll review my favourite/most liked character out of the film.

TV Shows/Features

Pretty much the same thing as movies, criterias are as follows

1. Plot
2. Script writing (As far as dialogues are concerned)
3. Character Arcs
4. Cinematography
5. Direction
6. Acting
7. Music/Score
8. Fan/Audience Catering (Over the entire season)
9. Genre Specific Category
10. Personal Review

The only key difference between movie and TV Show reviews will be that I’ll be marking the 8th category over the entire season. The averaging and the personal favourite character aspect will be a part of these reviews as well.

Now to start off, within this week I’ll be posting reviews for multiple Movies and TV shows, but after two weeks or so, I’ll be uploading weekly, either on a TV show or a movie.

I hope you’ll find these to be more wholesome and explanatory than most others XD (Excuse the lame emoji attempt, my friend’s thought it’d be a nice idea)
